|Ogunquit is known for its charming town, scenic Marginal Way, three miles of white, sandy beach, and quaint Perkins Cove. However, Ogunquit is perhaps best known for the warmth and welcoming extended to all its visitors.
We have restaurants to suit all tastes, from a traditional Maine lobster dinner to many fine dining establishments. We offer accommodations to fit most every budget, and a kaleidoscope of shops and galleries.
Days can be spent enjoying our beautiful beaches or taking advantage of the many activities offered in the area, including cruises, deep sea fishing, golf, museums and other activities. Evenings offer world class summer theater, a cinema, and musical entertainment. One of the things our visitors enjoy most about Ogunquit is that it is a walking community, so plan to take a stroll, a bike ride or a seasonal trolley ride.
Please contact us for additional information or for assistance in planning your visit to Ogunquit, Beautiful Place by the Sea."
|We love Ogunquit for a weekend get-away or extended vacation. It is really one of the most gay friendly places we've ever visited. There is a true eclectic mix of people with an honest to goodness "live and let live" attitude that you can feel on the streets, on the beach and in every shop and restaurant in town. You will see same sex couples walking hand in hand in town along side families, retirees and people from every walk of life without feeling like they are "on display". My partner and I always feel comfortable dining out, shopping and taking a stroll as a couple without feeling like we're being commented on. Be sure to walk the Marginal Way - fabulous views of the ocean along rocky cliffs! The beach is great (be ready for Maine ocean waters though!) It's one of our favorite destinations.
